The Corporate Fellows Program, established in 1988, promotes the exchange of information between the private sector and governors on emerging trends and factors affecting business and state government. As a Corporate Fellow, your company’s $20,000 contribution allows NGA to leverage your industry expertise and utilize your company as an intellectual resource for the work done by the NGA Center for Best Practices (NGA Center). The Corporate Fellows Program is comprised of approximately 100 companies annually.
With the support and involvement of the Corporate Fellows, the Center for Best Practices provides governors with innovative solutions to public policy challenges. Multiyear task forces and working groups convene the private and public sectors to examine what works, what doesn't work, and what lessons can be learned from other states grappling with similar problems and issues.
As a Corporate Fellow, companies have the opportunity to share their unique experiences and perspectives through a variety of avenues that include: collaboration with state government policy experts, providing background information for Center initiatives, sharing private sector best practices, and participation in unique, content driven Corporate Fellows events. Participation in the program demonstrates a commitment to improving cooperation and understanding between state government and industry through the development of bipartisan, collaborative responses and solutions to issues affecting our nation.
